Russia's second-largest oil producer Lukoil has called for the ending of the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible.
In a statement on its website, the company said it was concerned by the "tragic events in Ukraine" and supported the negotiations to end the conflict.
The statement went on to say that its board backs "the immediate cessation of the armed conflict and fully supports its resolution through the negotiation process and through diplomatic means".
Lukoil is majority owned by its head, Vagit Alekperov, and his deputy, Leonid Fedun.
It comes as an aide to French President Emmanuel Macron said that he believes "the worst is to come" in Ukraine after a 90-minute phone call with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, who appears intent on seizing "the whole" of the country.
