Gangland violence must stop, urges Catholic Archbishop of Dublin

The Catholic Archbishop of Dublin Diarmuid Martin has strongly condemned those involved in the drug trade and said that gangland violence must stop.

He was speaking during a 'World Day of Peace' Mass in Dublin.

President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina were among the many dignitaries at St Teresa's Church in Dublin's Clarendon Street today.

In his homily, Archbishop Martin said there was a now dangerous culture of violence in Ireland that was hard to understand.
