Three people have been killed in two separate road crashes in Northern Ireland yesterday.
Two further serious collisions are reported to have occurred near Crumlin in Co Antrim and Omagh in Co Tyrone.
A motorcyclist and the driver of a car died in a collision in the Lisburn area yesterday evening.
The PSNI said that the collision between a motorcycle and a car happened at the Glenavy Road area of Upper Ballinderry near Moira shortly before 6pm.
The drivers of both vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene, and a third person was taken to hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The road, which was closed for a time between the junctions of Soldierstown Road and Hammonds Road, has since reopened.
Separately, police say that one person died following a single vehicle collision involving a van in the Caledon area of Co Tyrone on Saturday night.
The PSNI were alerted to the incident
in the Derrycourtney Road area shortly after 11pm. Emergency services attended the incident, and one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
One person has been arrested.
The Derrycourtney road was closed overnight and has since reopened.
Police enquiries are continuing and they are appealing for witnesses to both collisions to contact them.
In a third and separate incident, police are at the scene of a serious road collision near Crumlin, County Antrim.
The Belfast Road has been sealed off between the Nutts Corner Roundabout and Ballyhill Road since early this morning and remains closed.
A fourth serious collision is reported to have occurred on the Clanabogan Road in Omagh, Co Tyrone.
Road users have been advised to avoid the area.
