A man in his 30s has been arrested in relation to an arson attack on a garda station in Emyvale, Co Monaghan.
Emyvale Garda Station was extensively damaged in the blaze in the early hours of Monday morning. The station was closed and no gardaí were working there at the time.
Gardaí say that two searches were carried in the area for their investigation, and a further search took place in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.
The man was arrested in Donegal on suspicion of arson and is currently being detained at Letterkenny Garda Station.
