Three men have been arrested in connection with a number of recent ATM thefts.

The men, aged 33, 37 and 41, were arrested in connection with a burglary at a garage in the Gilnahirk Road area of east Belfast on Friday 17 May and of an ATM bunker in the Hartford Link area of Newtownards on 30 March.

All three men have been charged with burglary with intent to steal and are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Monday 20 May.

A fourth man, aged 30, who was also arrested in connection with the incident in the Gilnahirk Road area yesterday has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The 41-year-old man has also been charged with a further three counts of burglary with intent to steal in relation to incidents in the Ravenhill Road area of Belfast on 18 January; in the Comber Road area of Dundonald on 27 January and in the Woodstock Road area on 23 February.
