Today is the deadline for constituents seeking a Westminster by-election in North Antrim to request a postal petition from the Northern Ireland Electoral Office.
10% of the constituency's electorate must sign petitions requesting a by-election before the process is triggered.
The issue has arisen because the North Antrim MP, Ian Paisley, was found to have breached parliamentary standards over his non-declaration of two family holidays funded by the Sri Lankan government.
Three centres have been opened in Ballymena, Ballycastle and Ballymoney where constituents can lodge petition requests between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
The petition by post option is also available but today is the final day for receipt of requests to access the service.
The petition facility is operating from 8 August to 19 September and on 20 September the Electoral Office will make public if the 10% threshold has been reached.
As part of the sanctions imposed by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, Mr Paisley is suspended without pay from the House of Commons for 30 days, beginning today.
