SMBC-backed group bags Air Lease in jet finance shake-up
A group of investors led by Sumitomo and SMBC Aviation Capital have unveiled plans to acquire US-based Air Lease in a $7.4 billion cash deal and bring it under the wing of one of the world's largest aircraft lessors.
