One of the world's most advanced and luxurious executive aircraft landed at Dublin Airport today.

The "Dream Jet", operated by the Chinese HNA Group's subsidiary Deer Jet, is a 2,400 square foot home for high rollers at high altitude.

A Boeing 787-7 Dreamliner, it reportedly cost $100 million to fit out on top of the $225m purchase price.

The interior is so specialised that it took a year to engineer and a further year and half to manufacture and install after the aircraft rolled off the Boeing production line.

It can accommodate up to 40 passengers in its fuselage, which was originally designed for more than 335 people.

Facilities include a master bedroom with double bed, a master bathroom complete with shower and double vanity unit, four kitchens, a main lounge with couches, a dining table and flat screen TVs, as well as a guest cabin with lie-flat seats for up to 18 people.

The aircraft flies at Mach 0.85 and has a range of up to 17.5 hours or 9,800 miles, meaning it can reach pretty much any location in the world non-stop.

Deer Jet is currently travelling around the world showing off the aircraft before it starts to lease it out.

The cost of renting it is €66,000 an hour.

However, the company is going to run exclusive packages which will enable customers to travel long-distance and then stay in luxury hotels for a set period.

The interior is state of the art, with electronically moved furniture, electric window blinds controlled by tablet.

The cabin pressure is set at an altitude of 6,000ft, lower than normal, in order to reduce the effects of jet lag, and the flight crew can add humidity to the air to stop it getting too dry.
