Fine Gael remains the most popular party among voters despite a modest drop in support, the latest opinion poll has suggested.
The Sunday Independent newspaper/Kantar Millward Brown poll measures Fine Gael support at 32% - that is down two points on the last comparable survey in April.
On the week that Fianna Fáil committed to maintaining the agreement underpinning the Government until 2020, support for that party was gauged at 27%, which is unchanged.
The poll conducted among a sample of 920 adults from 1 December up to last Thursday showed support for Sinn Féin was down one percentage point to 21%.
The Labour Party was unchanged on 5% as were Solidarity-PBP on 1%.
The Independent Alliance dropped a point to stand at 4% while non-aligned independents and others gained four points to record 6% support.
The Social Democrats are on 2% in this poll and the Green Party is at 1% support in this poll that has a margin of error of 3.2%.
