The three-year-old child, who fell from the second-storey balcony of an apartment in Waterford city, has been discharged from hospital.
Jayden O'Neill had been in University Hospital Waterford since the incident on Friday.
His father Ryan O’Neill said he sustained "a bleed to the brain".
Jayden was discharged this afternoon but will continue to be monitored.
His seven-year-old sister, Nevaeh, who also fell from the balcony, was discharged on Friday afternoon.
Both children fell more than 6m after the glass pane at the side of the balcony came away after Jayden ran through it.
One of the corners of the pane of glass dug into the ground after it fell, leaving the pane of glass standing upwards and the opposite corner exposed in the air.
Jayden landed only a few centimetres away from it.
Nevaeh then fell after trying to stop her brother from falling.
The incident occurred in Block C of Mount Suir Manor in Waterford city on Friday morning.
Yesterday, Mr O’Neill said he was thankful that Jayden and Nevaeh are still alive.
Waterford City and County Council is to carry out a technical examination of all balconies at the apartment block tomorrow.
The apartment block has been under the remit of the local authority since 2019.
Residents in the apartment complex have been highlighting issues with their balconies and properties for a number of years.
