A man in his 30s was arrested for questioning in connection with a hit-and-run in Midleton, Co Cork in which three cyclists were hit by a car.
The collision happened at around 8.05pm on the R627 at West Park. The man failed to remain at the scene.
The three male cyclists were taken to Cork University Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The road has since re-opened to traffics following a technical examination.
A man in his 30s was arrested a short time later on suspicion of driving while under the influence of an intoxicant.
He has since been released without charge pending further investigation by gardaí in Midleton.
