Man dies in hospital after Kerry e-bicycle incident

A man in his 60s, who was seriously injured after he fell off his electric bicycle on the outskirts of Tralee in Co Kerry on Sunday, has died in hospital.

The man was found unresponsive on the roadside at Bracker O'Regan Road at around 12.45am on Sunday morning.

He was taken to University Hospital Kerry, but has since died.

The coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone travelling in the Caherslee Road and Bracker O'Regan Road area between 12.20am and 12.50am on 20 October and who may have information or camera footage (including dash cam) or anyone who may have provided assistance to the man, to contact Tralee Garda Station at 066 710 2300, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
