AIB extends free contactless card transactions

Personal current account customers at AIB will continue to be able to carry out contactless payments for free, after the bank extended its decision not to introduce the planned one cent per transaction charge.

AIB said it will shortly make an option available to its SME customers to allow them defer the maintenance and transaction fees applied to their accounts on March 31 if their businesses have been affected by Covid-19.
