Man arrested after cocaine worth €3.75m seized in Rosslare

A man has been arrested following the seizure of around €3.75m worth of cocaine at Rosslare Europort in Co Wexford.

Revenue officers discovered 55.3kg of the suspected drug after searching a vehicle, which had disembarked from a ferry yesterday.

The cocaine has an estimated value of €3,747,000.

The man, aged in his 40s, was arrested under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.

He is currently being held at a garda station in Co Wexford.

Gardaí have said that investigations are ongoing.
