Three men are being questioned after gardaí foiled a cash-in-transit robbery in Co Meath this afternoon.
The cash van was at a shopping centre in Clonee when a gun was pointed at staff and a cash box containing around €30,000 was taken.
The incident happened at around 3pm.
Armed officers from the Emergency Response Unit moved in on the gang as they tried to escape and three men in their 30s were arrested.
The three are targets of the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
They are suspected to be involved in a gang believed to be responsible for similar cash-in-transit robberies in Carlow and Dundrum in Dublin late last year.
Two cars were also stopped and seized, along with an imitation firearm and electronic signal blocker.
The men are being held at Finglas and Ashbourne Garda Stations.
