Wicklow Fire Service has said it has extinguished a large fire on the west side of the Sugarloaf mountain.
The blaze broke out around midday in an area known as the Rocky Valley.
A fire crew based in Bray tackled the fire, which had generated a significant amount of smoke.
It is understood gardaí are investigating the incident.
