Two men have died in separate crashes, bringing to three the number of people killed on Irish roads across the bank holiday weekend.
A man aged in his 50s died in Co Louth following a collision involving two motorcycles and an SUV in Co Louth this afternoon.
The man was driving one of the motorcycles when the crash occurred on the N52 at Dunmahon shortly before 12:30pm.
His body has been removed to the local mortuary where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The second driver of a motorcycle, a man aged in his 40s was conveyed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda for treatment of serious injuries.
The driver of the SUV, a man in his 40s, was also brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda for injuries described as non-life threatening.
The road is currently closed for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place.
Earlier, a man in his 60s died following a car crash in Carrigans Park, Donamon, in Co Roscommon.
The man, who was driving the car, was pronounced dead at the scene this morning.
He was the sole occupant of the car.
The man's body was taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Galway. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course and the coroner has been notified.

Gardaí are appealing to road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) - who were travelling in the area of Carrigans Park, Donamon, Co Roscommon, between 5am and 9am - to make it available to gardaí.
