Senior RTÉ management are to appear before the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Arts, Media, Communications, Culture and Sport.
Committee's chairperson Alan Kelly has described the meeting as a timely engagement.
Last night, RTÉ Director-General Kevin Bakhurst said he believes the broadcaster has "paid the price for transparency" over the payments controversy involving presenter and producer Derek Mooney.
The official agenda for the meeting suggests that pensions, funding and reform are down for discussion.
However, there is little doubt that the Derek Mooney controversy will be to the fore.
Over the course of a two-hour meeting with Minister for Communications Patrick O'Donovan yesterday, RTÉ bosses were asked if there were any more landmines about to detonate?
He was told there was not, but Mr Bakhurst pledged that if anything else is discovered it will not be hidden.
Mr O'Donovan now wants RTÉ to consider publishing a top 100 salary list.
The director-general said the controversy of recent days was disappointing adding that it did not provide an incentive to be more transparent.
That particular opinion is likely to be the source of many questions from TDs and Senators.
