Four held after €7m in cocaine seized in Wexford and Dublin

Four men have been arrested following the seizure of over €7 million worth of suspected cocaine in Wexford and Dublin.

Two separate searches were carried out by gardaí in Gorey, Co Wexford and Shankill in Dublin yesterday.

During the course of the operation, approximately 104kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €7,280,000 was seized.

In addition, €47,000 in cash was recovered along with a number of digital devices.

The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

One man aged in his 20s, another in his 30s and two in their 40s were arrested and are being detained at garda stations in Dublin and Wexford.

The drugs were sized as part of Operation Tara, which aims to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks.
