A 40-year-old man who died in a road crash near Kinsale in Co Cork this morning, following which one man was arrested, has been named as Finbarr Coleman.
The single vehicle crash occurred at Ballynamona, about 4km outside Kinsale, at around 1.30am.
Mr Coleman - who was from nearby Inishannon - was one of several passengers in the car, which appeared to have hit a ditch.
The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, has been arrested.
He can be questioned for up to 24 hours.

Gardaí at Bandon are appealing to witnesses to the crash or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
Mr Coleman's body has been taken to Cork University Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted.

The road at Ballynamona remains closed this afternoon as a technical examination of the scene is conducted by forensic road investigators.
Local diversions are in place and investigations are ongoing.
It brings to 109 the number of people who have died on the country's roads so far this year.
