Minister for Communications Eamon Ryan has said the second Grant Thornton report into financial issues at RTÉ is not being delayed.
Speaking as he arrived for a Cabinet meeting at Government Buildings, the Green Party leader said: "I don't think anyone's delaying the publication either the RTÉ board or the Government."
Mr Ryan said he believes "it is in everyone's interests" to publish the report "as quickly as possible" given the significant public and political interest in the issue.
He said while he does not have the details of the report's findings, he said he is sure "Minister [for Media] Catherine Martin will publish it as soon as she has it".
In a statement earlier, the RTÉ Board said that "contrary to reports in the media today, the Grant Thornton II Report commissioned by the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) of the RTÉ Board into the understatement of payments between 2017 and 2019, is not finished.
"The report process is still under way. The ARC and the RTÉ Board have not received a copy of the Report, nor have they been briefed on its findings at this point."
