A group of around 10 international protection applicants are being moved from a tented facility in Knockalisheen today.
They are the first group to leave the facility, from a group of 104 who were moved into the tents three months ago.
More than 90 people remain, as Met Éireann forecasts more freezing temperatures this weekend.
A spokesperson for the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth said it is prioritising moving all remaining residents from the facility, but that this was dependent on the availability of alternative accommodation.
The tented camp in Clare is the only one still accommodating international protection applicants after the last 18 people still living in Athlone in Co Westmeath were moved out this morning.
Over the course of around a month, 165 people were moved out of that facility. Most left earlier this week.
Residents at both Clare and Athlone camps were moved in, in September.
Last night, the Irish Refugee Council appealed to the department to move all international protection applicants as the country experienced sub-zero temperatures.
Yesterday a group of international protection applicants living in the tents in Clare spoke to RTÉ News about the "freezing" conditions.
They appealed to Government to move them out as soon as possible.
