The Public Accounts Committee is expected to receive more documentation in the next 24 hours which will contain further revelations about the Garda College in Templemore and garda finances.
Labour TD Alan Kelly, who is vice chairman of the committee, said Garda HR director John Barrett will provide further notes and minutes of meetings he had, along with other documents.
In May, An Garda Síochána published a report detailing financial irregularities at the college over a number of years.
Mr Kelly said the new documents would shed a lot of light on what happened in relation to what was known by the Department of Justice and Commissioner Nóirín O'Sullivan.
The information will also raise more questions, he said.
The justice system was in crisis, he said, adding that if the Government will not address it, then Fianna Fáil's position on the Commissioner was untenable.
In the Dáil this afternoon, Taoiseach Enda Kenny said he had not seen the PAC documents but added: "I have confidence in the Garda Commissioner to do her job."
He was responding to Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams, who said: "The commissioner's position is untenable."
"You need to act in the best interests of An Garda Síochána ... will you finally accept this reality and relieve her of her duties," Mr Adams said.
