An investigation is under way after a 19-year-old man was injured during a shooting incident in Ballyfermot in Dublin last night.
The man was shot in the leg at Le Fanu Drive, shortly before 10pm.
He was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel and taken to St James's Hospital.
His condition is not thought to be life threatening.
Gardai have issued an appeal to any witnesses or anyone with information on the shooting to contact Ballyfermot Garda Station 01-06667200 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
No arrests have been made.
