Firefighters are tackling two gorse fires in the Dublin Mountains.
One, which started early this morning, is off the Piperstown Road, near the Hellfire Club.
The other is not far away from the first, at Glassamucky Road where it joins Cunard Road Upper.
Dublin Fire Brigade is appealing to people to avoid the area.
Smoke from the fires has spread across the south of Dublin and the fire brigade is advising people in affected areas to keep their windows closed.
In a statement, Dublin Fire Brigade said: "Roads in the area are obscured by smoke. If you are living in the area and are affected by smoke, please keep your doors and windows closed.
"Farmers in the area are urged to check on their livestock. Aerial firefighting will commence shortly. Please avoid the area and please do not fly drones near the area."
