Gardaí are investigating the discovery of skeletal remains at a property in Dublin.

The discovery was made shortly before 5.30pm yesterday as works were being carried out at the back of a house on the Naas Road.

It is thought that the remains may have been there for some time.

The scene remains sealed off today and a garda spokesperson said that the Office of the State Pathologist and Coroner has been notified.

The Garda Technical Bureau has also been requested to attend along with a forensic anthropologist.
