Dublin ladies football team take celebrations to Naul after All-Ireland win

The Dublin ladies senior football team have brought the Brendan Martin Cup to the captain's hometown a day after winning the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship.

The team won the final against Kerry, with a final score of 0-18 to 1-10 in Croke Park.

In a social media post last night, the Dubs said they were delighted to be bringing the Brendan Martin cup to the Mansion House at 4pm this afternoon.

They were then due to travel to captain Carla Rowe’s home club Clann Mhuíre in Naul, north Dublin, for a reception, which was due to take place at around 6.15pm this evening.

The club said they "can’t wait to welcome Brendan but most importantly the Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football team" to the area, while also encouraging supporters to join in on the celebrations.

Earlier today, the team visited patients at Temple Street Children's Hospital with the Brendan Martin Cup.

Meanwhile in Kerry, fans have gathered in Castelisland ahead of a homecoming for the runners-up in Killarney at 7.30pm.
