A swimming ban at Sandycove Beach in Dublin has been lifted by Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Council.
Similar bans that were put in place at Seapoint and the Forty Foot by the local authority were lifted yesterday.
In a statement, the local authority said the results of water quality tests have shown the water quality has returned to normal.
A ban at Dollymount Strand, which falls under the remit of Dublin City Council, was also lifted yesterday.
However, swimming bans remain in place at Sandymount and Merrion strands.
These longer term bans were imposed due to general issues with water quality
