Bans on swimming at Dublin's Seapoint and Forty Foot have been lifted, following concerns over water quality.
In a statement, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Council said the areas were now safe to swim in as water sample results have come back showing clean water quality.
However, the ban on swimming at Sandycove Beach remains in place as tests have indicated elevated levels of E.coli and enterococci.
Further tests have been carried out and the results should be known tomorrow. A decision will be made then in relation to the ban.
The council said the elevated levels at Sandycove were likely caused by heavy rainfall on Sunday and Monday causing an overflow of waste water.
