A man who helped a criminal organisation carry out one of the Hutch-Kinahan feud murders in Dublin two years ago is to be sentenced to a jail term in two weeks' time.

Martin Aylmer of Casino Park, Marino, Dublin 3, admitted to contributing to activity that facilitated the murder of Michael Barr at the Sunset House at Summerhill Parade on 25 April 2016.

The court heard a phone he bought was dropped by one of the gunmen involved in the murder and found by gardaí at the place where the getaway car was abandoned.

Aylmer bought the phone two days before the murder at a phone shop in the Ilac Shopping Centre in Dublin and two more in Moore Street.

The phones were prepaid and unregistered.

Aylmer later claimed he thought the phones were to be used in drug dealing.

The three judges also heard his fingerprints were found at the lock up where the getaway car was parked before the murder.

Defence Counsel agreed with Mr Justice Tony Hunt that Aylmer was "not in the premiership" in relation to organised crime.

The judge however, said he could not avoid a custodial sentence and remanded him in custody for sentencing in two weeks' time.

Another man, 30-year-old Eamonn Cumberton of Mountjoy Street, Dublin 7 has already been convicted of the murder and is serving life in prison.
