A 31-year-old man accused of murdering his mother in Athlone, Co Westmeath has been further remanded in custody.
Nebojsa Pap, with an address at Beechville at Athlone, appeared via video link at Athlone District Court.
Last Friday, the accused was brought before a special sitting of Mullingar District Court charged with murdering Mirjana Pap.
The 58-year-old Croatian national was found dead on land close to Clonark in Co Roscommon on 30 December.
Sergeant Paul McNally, for the State, told the court that directions were still outstanding from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The case was adjourned until 22 January when directions are expected.
