Two brothers have been jailed for life for the murder of a gunman who fired shots at their home in Dublin last year.
Jason Bradley severely beat the 36-year-old with a sharp weapon, while his older brother Dean ran over him with a car.
A third brother, 18-year-old Ryan Bradley, was found not guilty of murder but admitted impeding the investigation and will be sentenced later this month.
Their father Paul Bradley, who is 54, was also acquitted of murder.
The Bradleys were in their home at Liscarne Gardens in Dublin on the night of 18 January 2017 when Reilly fired two shots at them at 3.50am.
Warning: This report contains some graphic details
Reilly was a drug dealer who was owed a debt of €9,000 by Jason Bradley.
He had been asked to stop supplying Jason Bradley with drugs, but Reilly had previously broken in and ransacked the family home.
Reilly drove off after the shooting and threw the gun over a garden wall but the Bradleys followed him, Dean in a BMW, with Ryan in the passenger seat and Jason with his father Paul in a SUV.
At around 4am Reilly crashed his Mazda at Esker Glebe, the SUV then crashed into it spinning it round.
Reilly’s accomplice got away but Jason Bradley fought with Reilly and although he suffered a deep cut to the hand, the 20-year-old overpowered the drug dealer and used a sharp weapon to beat him severely.
He sustained skull and brain injuries and seven chop wounds, all of which were described as severe and potentially fatal.
The weapon used has never been found.
As Reilly lay on the road, Dean Bradley's BMW arrived and drove over him, crushing his pelvis, causing injuries that alone could have killed him, the court heard.
Witnesses said the car drove back and forth over the body.
Twenty minutes later, Dean and Ryan Bradley switched cars, leaving the blood stained BMW at the family's garage business off the Naas Road. Gardaí found a bottle of cleaning fluid nearby.
The father and three sons were all charged with and pleaded not guilty to murder.
Paul Bradley said he did nothing more than chase Reilly after the shooting and kick him while he was fighting with Jason.
He was found not guilty of murder as was his youngest son, Ryan.
There was no evidence that the teenager got out of his car or took any part in the attack on Reilly.
However, he did plead guilty to impeding the investigation after he gave gardaí a false statement and was today remanded on bail for sentencing on 31 July.
His two older brothers were convicted by a jury of murder by a unanimous verdict and sentenced to life in prison.
In a victim impact statement, Reilly's mother Marie said she awoke that morning to Neil's 17-year-old son Dean screaming: "Neil is dead. The Bradleys killed Neil."
Dean Reilly was friends with Ryan Bradley and he said he had been at sleepovers, breakfasts and dinners in their home.
She described it as a barbaric, savage, horrific and brutal way to take a life. She said his two children miss him every day as does his fiancée, whose future is "broken beyond words".
She also said the Reilly family felt justice had been done, as many murder victims do not get the justice they deserve.
"The price you pay for taking a life is a life sentence," she said. "We hope the small word 'stop' will be taken seriously."
