The Roscommon County Council dispute over flexi-leave has escalated after SIPTU served notice of industrial action.
Four one-day strikes have already been carried out by staff belonging to Fórsa.
The dispute is over the refusal of management to permit members to work up extra hours so that they can accumulate up to 13 additional leave days per year.
Later today, the council is expected to issue its response to yesterday's criticisms of its position on flexi-time from the Public Service Oversight Body.
Fórsa has already warned that it will continue its campaign of industrial action unless it gets confirmation that the Council will commit to re-joining a three-week talks process overseen by the WRC.
