50 jobs to be created at new Sligo innovation centre

Global software company LiveTiles is to establish an innovation centre in Sligo where its planning to create up to 50 jobs.

The company was founded in 2014 in Australia but has its headquarters in New York. It says the new Sligo operation will support the further development of its design and artificial intelligence products.

It will recruit for key roles such as AI developers, marketing, management, presales and a new product solutions team that will create industry-specific digital platforms that incorporate AI.

The project is being supported by the Government through Industrial Development Agency Ireland

LiveTiles Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Karl Redenbach said: "This is a wonderful opportunity, and we're really excited to establish a new centre in Sligo. There is an up-and-coming technology scene here, and we look forward to working with technology businesses, universities and Microsoft in Ireland to expand our AI agenda."

The announcement was welcomed by the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys as a great vote of confidence in Sligo and the north west region.

LiveTiles boasts a customer list spanning some of the biggest organisations in the world such as PepsiCo and the US Department of Defence.
