Drone delivery company Manna said it has surpassed 250,000 drone deliveries, including more than 60,000 flights in Dublin 15 since commencing operations there two years ago.
The company said it has recorded strong growth throughout 2025, with year-on-year growth of over 100% in deliveries, accelerating from January and peaking in August, its strongest month of the year.
Manna said that following regulatory approval from the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) in October, it has deployed new quieter propellers across its aerial fleet.
According to the company, since the roll out of these propellers it has received less than ten new complaints from people living in Dublin 15.
Local opposition
In October last year, a campaign group called Drone Action Dublin 15 held a public meeting which was attended by around 200 people.
Many of them expressed their opposition to the operation of drones in their area.
The noise generated by the drones and concerns about privacy were among the main issues raised by residents.
In November, plans by Manna to retain a drone delivery hub for Coolmine Industrial Estate in Dublin 15 faced local opposition.
Over 90 submissions, most of which opposed the retention application, were lodged with Fingal County Council.
Manna said that by the end of autumn last year, the number of complaints it had received had risen to 150.
"This coincided with activity from a politically orchestrated campaign group," the company said.
"Since the new propellers were attached in October there have been minimal complaints," it added.
Manna co-founder Bobby Healy said 2026 will be a big year for the company internationally as it expands.
"The question for Ireland is whether we choose to back innovation that is delivering jobs, carbon and traffic reduction, accessibility and real-world outcomes at home and allow evidence and majority community support to shape how that progress happens," Mr Healy said.
