Irish founded Horizon Quantum Computing has raised $18.1m in investment funding.
The investment will be used to complete a new European engineering centre in Ireland, strengthen the company's science and engineering teams to accelerate product development and to bring technology to the market.
The company is currently recruiting a software engineering team in Dublin to boost worldwide operations.
Horizon builds software development tools to unlock the potential of quantum computing hardware.
It was found by Irishman Dr Joe Fitzsimons and is based in Singapore.
"At Horizon, we focus on unlocking the power of future quantum computers and have made significant headway towards our goal of enabling conventional software developers to take advantage of the technology through abstraction and automated algorithm synthesis," Dr Fitzsimons said.
"The new investment will support our effort to break through the barriers to useful quantum computation," he added.
