The owner of bookmaker Paddy Power, Flutter Entertainment, is to sell a division of its online gambling business to Bruin Capital for up to £155m.

Oddschecker Global Media includes a portfolio of sites which offer services like betting odds comparison and sports-related data.

It was previously part of the Canadian Stars Group, which Flutter merged with in 2019.

As part of the agreement with Bruin, Flutter is to receive £135m in cash upon completion of the sale, with a further £20m deferred.

The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of the year.

Bruin is already invested in a number of sports-focused ventures, including marketing firm TGI Sports and media producer Deltatre.
