The nominations period for the Dublin Central and Galway West bye-elections has closed.
Thirty-one candidates will run across two constituencies.
The bye-elections will take place on 22 May to select TDs to fill the seats vacated by Catherine Connolly in Galway West and Paschal Donohoe in Dublin Central.
A total of 14 candidates will be standing in the bye-election in Dublin Central, including candidates from most Dáil parties and six independent or non party candidates.
In Galway West, a total of 17 candidates have been nominated, 10 representing political parties and seven non party or independents.
With 21 days to go until polling day, campaigning is expected to intensify from this weekend as candidates and their supporters criss-cross the constituencies of Dublin Central and Galway West, seeking support of voters.
The candidates running in Galway West are: Néill Bairéad (Non Party), AJ Cahill (The Irish People), Mike Cubbard (Non Party), Patrick Feeney (Non Party), Sheila Garrity (Non Party), Cillian Keane (Fianna Fáil), Seán Kyne (Fine Gael), Mark Lohan (Sinn Féin), Niall Murphy (Green Party), Míde Nic Fhionnlaoich (Social Democrats), Orla Nugent (Aontú), Helen Ogbu (The Labour Party), John O'Leary (Independent), Denman Rooke (People Before Profit - Solidarity), Michael Ryan (Non Party), Noel Thomas (Independent Ireland) and Thomas Welby (Non Party).
The candidates running in Dublin Central are: Janice Boylan (Sinn Féin), Tony Corrigan (Non Party), Daniel Ennis (Social Democrats), Colm Joseph Flood (Non Party), Mannix Flynn (Independent), Janet Horner (Green Party), Gerard Hutch (Independent), Ray McAdam (Fine Gael), Ruth O'Dea (The Labour Party), John O'Leary (Non Party), Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin (People Before Profit), Ian Noel Smyth (Aontú), Malachy Steenson (Independent) and John Stephens (Fianna Fáil).
Polling booths will open at 7am on 22 May.
