On 1 July, Ireland will take over the Presidency of the EU Council.
With over 200 meetings planned during the six-month period, it presents a security and logistical challenge for the country.
Europe Editor Tony Connelly explains what holding the presidency means.
He says apart from legislative work, it is an excellent opportunity to showcase Ireland.
"This is a bit of a Discover Ireland (being) turbocharged: you're going to have 278 meetings in Ireland," he said.
The European Political Community meeting, which includes all EU member states and the wider European continent, will bring some 47 heads of government to Dublin.
Tony says the meeting in November will be "the biggest diplomatic event the State has ever hosted".
Some 75% of the meetings will be in the capital, while 25% will be elsewhere around the country.
"That’s going to be a big operational challenge for the Government," he explained.
Some of the big issues during the six-month presidency will be the next €2tn EU budget, and how it is allocated by member states.
They also discuss the recent Hungarian election result, which Tony says "has possibly signalled the high watermark of the Trump influence in Europe".
Media review of fuel protests
Hosts Paul Cunningham and Fran McNulty also discuss the criticism levelled at the Minister for Culture, Communication and Sport, Patrick O'Donovan, on his call for Coimisiún na Meán to review coverage of the fuel protests.
In a change of mind, the minister has said that the review will no longer go ahead following a call with the media regulator.
