RTÉ Radio 1 unveiled a new sound for the station two weeks ago.
However, public reaction to the change has been mixed with plenty of commentary on message boards and on the letter pages of national newspapers.
Arts and Media Correspondent Evelyn O’Rourke joins Fran and Eamon to discuss why radio stations change much loved and well known tunes.
She said while Radio 1 wants to "change with the modern times", some listeners appear to be "a bit more reluctant".
She believes certain music gives listeners a familiarity and the "affection" people have for it, especially in relation to a radio programme like Sunday Miscellany.
Italy, Iran and the World Cup
Fran and Eamon examine the suggestion that Italy could replace Iran at the upcoming World Cup.
Paolo Zampolli, a US 'Special envoy on Global Partnerships’, made the suggestion during the week to FIFA and President Donald Trump.
However, the Italian Sports Minister Andrea Abodi has dismissed the suggestion - saying the proposal would and should not happen.
However, questions remain over how Iran will be able to compete.
The US administration has indicated that while it has no issue with the Iranian team travelling to the World Cup, it has concerns about officials that may travel with the team.
Eamon and Fran also discuss ticket prices for sporting events - including the Ryder Cup in Adare in 2027.
