A murder investigation is under way after a 32-year-old man died following a stabbing in Youghal, Co Cork.
He has been named as Daniel O'Sullivan, who was originally from Mallow in Co Cork, but had been living in Youghal for the past two years.
A 29-year-old man is being questioned at Midleton Garda Station.
He had presented himself to gardaí in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A post-mortem examination on Mr O'Sullivan's body has been completed, with preliminary results given to investigating gardaí.

Cordons were placed outside a number of premises on North Main Street as a team of Garda Forensic Crime investigators continue their work, which included searches of shores and bins close on the street.
Emergency services were called to a bar on North Main Street in the tourist town at around 9.50pm following reports of a stabbing.
Mr O'Sullivan sustained a stab wound to the abdomen, and was taken to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed, and both the coroner and Office of the State Pathologist have been informed, while an incident room has been set up at Midleton Garda Station.
