Viral filters which use artificial intelligence to make people appear "chubby" or "skinny" have been removed from the video editing app CapCut following concerns around body image and mental health.
The 'Chubby Filter AI' and ‘Skinny Filter AI’ had been available through the app which is affiliated with TikTok.
Thousands of videos had been created using these filters, with TikTok users posting "before" and "after" videos of themselves.
However, the trend sparked a wave of criticism, with some experts warning that it contributed to a toxic diet culture.
