A 30-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a mother of four in Belfast last week.

The body of Caoimhe Morgan, 30, was found in a house in Harcourt Drive in the north of the city on Saturday morning.

Taylor McIlvenna, of Greyabbey Road in Ballywalter, Co Down, appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court via video link.

He was charged with murder and two counts of criminal damage. He spoke only to say "yes" when asked if he understood the charges against him.

A PSNI detective told the court she could connect the accused to the alleged offences, but no details were disclosed.

There was no application for bail and Taylor McIlvenna was remanded in custody to appear in court again by video link on 19 January.
