Dublin Fire Brigade has extinguished a blaze that broke out in Vicar Street earlier in the afternoon.

The fire began at a seated area at the back of the venue, which is located in the Liberties.

Four fire brigade units from Dolphins Barn, Donnybrook and Townsend Street attended the scene shortly before lunchtime.

One building attached to the popular venue was evacuated.

Thomas Street was closed off completely for a number of hours, but has since reopened.

Firefighters left the scene at about 1.30pm and the building has since been handed back to its operators.

There are no reports of any serious damage or injuries.
