A 30-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of his father in Dublin on Sunday.
Gareth Sheeran, with an address at Carriglea View, Firhouse, was remanded in custody for a week at Tallaght District Court.
He is accused of murdering Harry Sheeran, 65, at his home at Carriglea View on Sunday night, where his son also lived.

The father-of-two had been attacked and stabbed to death.
Judge Patricia McNamara agreed to a request by Mr Sheeran's solicitor Andrew Vallely that he receive all appropriate medical treatment in custody.
The judge remanded Mr Sheeran in custody to appear again by video link at Cloverhill District Court next Tuesday, 29 June.
