The man who died in a partial collapse of a building in Tralee in Co Kerry has been named locally as Tom Ross.
The incident happened at a premises on Ashe Street just after 8am this morning.
It is understood that the chimney section in the centre of the building collapsed.
Mr Ross was a building contractor in his 60s and he lived in Fenit.
His body was taken to University Hospital Kerry, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted later.
The injuries of the five men who were also working on the building are not believed to be serious.
Separate investigations are under way by gardaí and by the Health and Safety Authority into Mr Ross' death.
