Ambulance personnel belonging to the Psychiatric Nurses Association are to hold two further days of strike action in their dispute over union recognition.
The dispute centres on the HSE's refusal to recognise the right of the PNA's NASRA branch to represent members.
The HSE argues that it already recognises several unions including SIPTU in the National Ambulance Service and that recognising additional unions could impair good industrial relations.
A spokesperson for the PNA said that the dates for the next two strikes - which will take place on consecutive days - are to be be announced in the coming days.
During last week's stoppage, Department of Defence ambulances were deployed on a number of occasions to meet the demands of service users.
