Free repeat smear tests, offered to women concerned about their previous test results, will end on 31 December 2018.
These additional services have been available since April.
Minister for Health Simon Harris had previously announced that any woman with concerns about her cervical screening could have a free consultation, and if necessary, a free repeat smear test with any GP registered with CervicalCheck.
This will now end as scheduled on 31 December 2018.
The HSE has sent information to GPs to remind them of the end date.
Women aged between 25 and 60 are eligible for free testing under the Cervical Check programme.
