Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, Sean Fleming has said the head of the Commission of Investigation, which is investigating the sale of NAMA's Northern Ireland loan book, has informed him that he will deal with new allegations made by a developer.

Deputy Fleming said he had received a letter from John Cooke, the retired High Court judge who is examining the sale of Project Eagle.

The move comes after Committee members received a folder of documents containing allegations made by a developer.

The Committee previously published a report on the sale.

A commission of investigation was established by the Government in June 2017 to look at the disposal by NAMA of its Northern Ireland Loan portfolio.

Sinn Féin TD David Cullinane had wanted the developer to appear before the Committee to discuss the documents he had submitted.
