A renewed appeal for information about the murder of Raonaid Murray on the 17th anniversary of her death has been issued.
The 17-year-old’s body was found at Silchester Crescent in Glenageary, Co Dublin, just 500m from her home on 4 September 1999.
Gardaí said they have recently contacted and spoken again with a number of Raonaid's close friends.
They are asking those who knew Raonaid well to contact the investigation team at Dún Laoghaire Garda Station.
Raonaid worked at a clothes shop then known as Sally West in Dún Laoghaire Shopping Centre.
She left the shop at approximately 9pm on 3 September 1999 and went with a friend to Scott's pub in Dún Laoghaire.
She made arrangements with a friend to go to a night club later that night. Raonaid left Scott's at approximately 11.20pm to go home and change before heading to the club.
Her house was about a 15-minute walk from Scott's pub.
Raonaid's body was then found at Silchester Crescent at 12.33am, Saturday 4 September 1999.
